DESCRIPTION:Based out of Washington\, DC\, Carly Harvey combines Blues\, Jazz\, Soul and Americana roots styles to create a unique sound that calls to mind Etta James\, Bonnie Raitt\, and Nina Simone\, with a little Ella Fitzgerald thrown in for good measure. In July 2018\, Carly was featured in Big City Blues Magazine as one of the youngest Blues artists to watch. She has had the privilege of sharing the stage with iconic musicians including Annika Chambers\, Ron Holloway\, Kebbie Williams\, Ephraim Owens\, Cory Henry\, Kofi Burbridge\, Junior Marvin\, and Susan Tedeschi – an artist whose work has been foundational to her musical evolution. \nCarly is a two-time D.C. Blues Society Battle of the Bands Winner (Duo – 2016\, Band – 2018) and was proclaimed D.C.’s Queen of the Blues in 2016 by Dr. Nick Johnson of WPFW Radio. Her band\, Kiss & Ride represented Washington D.C. in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January of 2019 where they advanced to the semi-finals. That same year\,  Carly released a new EP titled Kiss & Ride: Vol. 1\, and the hit single\, “She Ain’t Me” is now charting on regional blues radio stations. She was shortly after voted 2nd place for Best Performance Artist in Washington City Paper’s ” Best of D.C. 2019″ \nIn 2021\, Carly was nominated 7 times and won the WAMMIE award for Best Blues Artist/Band. \nInternational crossover album titled Among The Stars and an EP titled Y.A.M.W.A.O. with Italian producer/composer Taste of Dream is an additional project that has allowed Carly to explore an element of her musicianship beyond the Blues. \nCarly is a Tsalagi and Tuscarora descendant and it is her belief that Blues not only comes from the African American experience but is actually directly influenced by Indigenous American Minor Pentatonic Melodies and Stomp Dance Songs. She occasionally offers master classes to educate people about the music that gives her so much pride in her Afro-Indigenous heritage.

DESCRIPTION:Duke grew up like most of us\, the child of his parents. His dad took great pride in a spotless kitchen and perfectly boxed lunches and plated meals. His mom never met a weapon she didn’t immediately run away from. He was the youngest of 5 and quickly grew in stature\, plateauing in middle school\, never to grow again. By chance\, he discovered a CD by The Walkmen at a Borders Bookstore in 2003 and his life trajectory was forever changed. It was at his first listen to “Wake Up” that he knew he was going to sell residential mortgages and have many children and tinker around on an old Telecaster and Jazz Chorus Amp in the corner of his dining room.

DESCRIPTION:The Battle of the Barrel-Aged Beer returns to the Stone on Tuesday\, September 20th as prequel to DC Beer Week(end). \nWe’re pitting local breweries against each other as they each try to wow the public and judges with a special barrel-aged brew. This year’s participating breweries are: returning champ DC Brau\, Port City Brewing Company\, Other Half Brewing\, Denizens Brewing Company\, Atlas Brew Works\, Hellbender Brewing Company\, and Right Proper Brewing Company. \nDrink barrel-aged brews and cast your vote as the brewers battle it out to take home DC Beer Week’s most-coveted prize. In addition to selecting the style or barrel type for next year’s competition\, the winner will receive a dedicated tap line at Boundary Stone\, a special Battle of the Barrel-Aged Beer trophy\, and bragging rights until next year’s DC Beer Week!  \nVIRTUAL TICKETS\n$125 each (inclusive of tax and gratuity) *comes with enough beer for 2!*\nTune into Instagram Live at 9 PM as we crown the winner\nSeven 12oz reusable crowlers (one each from each brewery filled with their entry into this year’s battle!)\nA beer token that’s good to redeem one crowler refill (from the Stone) from this year’s winning brewery\n2022 Merch!
