DESCRIPTION:Based out of Washington\, DC\, Carly Harvey combines Blues\, Jazz\, Soul and Americana roots styles to create a unique sound that calls to mind Etta James\, Bonnie Raitt\, and Nina Simone\, with a little Ella Fitzgerald thrown in for good measure. In July 2018\, Carly was featured in Big City Blues Magazine as one of the youngest Blues artists to watch. She has had the privilege of sharing the stage with iconic musicians including Annika Chambers\, Ron Holloway\, Kebbie Williams\, Ephraim Owens\, Cory Henry\, Kofi Burbridge\, Junior Marvin\, and Susan Tedeschi – an artist whose work has been foundational to her musical evolution. \nCarly is a two-time D.C. Blues Society Battle of the Bands Winner (Duo – 2016\, Band – 2018) and was proclaimed D.C.’s Queen of the Blues in 2016 by Dr. Nick Johnson of WPFW Radio. Her band\, Kiss & Ride represented Washington D.C. in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January of 2019 where they advanced to the semi-finals. That same year\,  Carly released a new EP titled Kiss & Ride: Vol. 1\, and the hit single\, “She Ain’t Me” is now charting on regional blues radio stations. She was shortly after voted 2nd place for Best Performance Artist in Washington City Paper’s ” Best of D.C. 2019″ \nIn 2021\, Carly was nominated 7 times and won the WAMMIE award for Best Blues Artist/Band. \nInternational crossover album titled Among The Stars and an EP titled Y.A.M.W.A.O. with Italian producer/composer Taste of Dream is an additional project that has allowed Carly to explore an element of her musicianship beyond the Blues. \nCarly is a Tsalagi and Tuscarora descendant and it is her belief that Blues not only comes from the African American experience but is actually directly influenced by Indigenous American Minor Pentatonic Melodies and Stomp Dance Songs. She occasionally offers master classes to educate people about the music that gives her so much pride in her Afro-Indigenous heritage.

His mom never met a weapon she didn’t immediately run away from. He was the youngest of 5 and quickly grew in stature\, plateauing in middle school\, never to grow again. By chance\, he discovered a CD by The Walkmen at a Borders Bookstore in 2003 and his life trajectory was forever changed. It was at his first listen to “Wake Up” that he knew he was going to sell residential mortgages and have many children and tinker around on an old Telecaster and Jazz Chorus Amp in the corner of his dining room.

DESCRIPTION:Emotion Witch is made up of vocalist and songwriter\, Sarah Leigh\, accompanied by Andrew Pendergast\, of Trashboat and the Ambush\, on keys. Sarah has been writing and performing since she was a child. She moved from SC to the DMV area in 2010 and entered the DC music scene in 2015. She was the lead vocalist for Sorry Carly from 2017-2018. She has also performed as a backup vocalist for several prominent local artists.\nShe began her project as Emotion Witch during the pandemic\, where she produced two very eclectic EPs. The first EP received a rave review from Divid and Conquer music. Several tracks from those EPs plus some unreleased tracks will make up the soundtrack to an upcoming animated series called Brides that will be featured on Paramount Plus. There will also be a track featured on the upcoming film Smack. She and Andrew Pendergast are now working on a new project that will be touring across the Southeast in months to come. Their sound ranges from Pop/Rock to Neo Soul as well as Classic Folk. Her music can be found on all streaming platforms.\nEmotion Witch music\, as the name implies\,  is meant to elicit strong emotions from the listener. So get ready to feel something.

Hailing from Prince George’s county Maryland\, He was one of the founders of metal/post-hardcore the band “Louder Than Quiet” and was invited to play at Afropunk multiple times opening for Anderson Paak\, Miguel\, Solange\, Tyler the Creator\, Daniel Caesar and Erykah Badu etc.  \nWhile promoting and shopping the band’s album he caught the attention of international metal label Earache Records by combining his ear for trap\, hardcore guitars\, and melodic singing. This lead to his first International Recording Contract and the releasing of his debut album titled “Endlyss”. \nDuring that time he extended his musical skills to other genres such as r&b and soul and picked up teaching as well as performing in numerous live shows. He joined a 10 piece wedding band as the male vocalist and started to tour the east coast. He also joined the legendary local GoGo band ABM and is currently working on a new album.

JC recently played Porchfest and the Marx Cafe as part of the FFDMV music collective. \nChristopher Colletta (August 11) – @cccollettamusic\nChristopher Colletta’s music is a mix of classic honky tonk country and americana influenced by legends like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson and by new blood like Charley Crockett and Justin Townes Earle. Though not known as a hotspot for country music\, his music career began in the streets of Paris\, France\, turning cafés into honky tonks and even playing for American expats in the U.S. Embassy. *Unprecedented global events* brought Christopher stateside and he recently began playing again in Washington\, DC. His next project is an EP of original music\, much of which is inspired by the years he spent as an officer in the U.S. Army. \nDylan Dellisanti (August 18) – @dylan_dellisanti\nDylan DelliSanti is an Americana singer-songwriter living in DC’s historic H Street Corridor. Inspired by Bob Dylan\, John Prine\, Hank Williams Sr.\, and Conor Oberst\, Dylan’s songs are often historical and literary flights of fancy that seek to blur the line between fact and fiction. Many of his songs are based on whatever book he happens to be reading\, whatever TV show he happens to be watching\, or whatever article he happened to read in the Wall Street Journal that morning. He can typically be found at any ol’ barstool\, or\, as is often the case\, behind the bar shaking drinks and pouring wine. Feel free to buy him a shot of Jameson and give his new EP\, The Cairo\, a listen. \nNicole June (August 25) – @nicolejuneandthejets\nDrawing on the sounds of rock\, funk and the blues\, Nicole June & The Jets are stirring the pot in Harpers Ferry\, WV and Philadelphia\, PA. After being active in Philadelphia’s music scene as an artist and session musician for several years\, June moved to Harper’s Ferry to join The Jets in what has been a steady upwards ride from the stage to the studio. In just over a year of performing together\, the band has been booked to headline locals festivals such as Tall Trees (Media\, PA) and Waynestock (New River George\, WV) and recently broke the record for number of attendees at a free show while playing the outdoor stage at Virginia’s prominent B Chord Brewing. June has shared stages with artists including The Counting Crows and Valerie June. She has released 2 EPs while her latest single Glad I Tried earned radio airplay on major stations throughout Philadelphia and the Northeast US. \nEli Waltz (August 4 & August 25) – @eli_waltz\nEli Waltz is an Americana folksinger and songwriter\, and he is bandleader of Eli & the Waltz. Eli incorporates a fingerpicking style modeled on folk legend Townes Van Zandt\, and draws upon the vocal stylings of Ray Lamontagne\, Rachael Price and John Lee Hooker. He was inspired early on by recordings of Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter. They and other blues giants influence Eli’s gruff\, dynamic singing voice—as well as his gritty harmonica solos. For Eli\, travel and music are inextricably linked. He cut his teeth busking in the streets of Medellin\, Tel-Aviv\, and Dali\, China. And for a long spell\, he lived and performed in Beijing. Eli Waltz now lives in Washington\, D.C. His debut EP\, “Burning Moonlight\,” will be released in 2022. The group Eli & the Waltz performs regularly in the DMV\, with upcoming tours around the country.

JC recently played Porchfest and the Marx Cafe as part of the FFDMV music collective. \nChristopher Colletta (August 11) – @cccollettamusic\nChristopher Colletta’s music is a mix of classic honky tonk country and americana influenced by legends like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson and by new blood like Charley Crockett and Justin Townes Earle. Though not known as a hotspot for country music\, his music career began in the streets of Paris\, France\, turning cafés into honky tonks and even playing for American expats in the U.S. Embassy. *Unprecedented global events* brought Christopher stateside and he recently began playing again in Washington\, DC. His next project is an EP of original music\, much of which is inspired by the years he spent as an officer in the U.S. Army. \nDylan Dellisanti (August 18) – @dylan_dellisanti\nDylan DelliSanti is an Americana singer-songwriter living in DC’s historic H Street Corridor. Inspired by Bob Dylan\, John Prine\, Hank Williams Sr.\, and Conor Oberst\, Dylan’s songs are often historical and literary flights of fancy that seek to blur the line between fact and fiction. Many of his songs are based on whatever book he happens to be reading\, whatever TV show he happens to be watching\, or whatever article he happened to read in the Wall Street Journal that morning. He can typically be found at any ol’ barstool\, or\, as is often the case\, behind the bar shaking drinks and pouring wine. Feel free to buy him a shot of Jameson and give his new EP\, The Cairo\, a listen. \nNicole June (August 25) – @nicolejuneandthejets\nDrawing on the sounds of rock\, funk and the blues\, Nicole June & The Jets are stirring the pot in Harpers Ferry\, WV and Philadelphia\, PA. After being active in Philadelphia’s music scene as an artist and session musician for several years\, June moved to Harper’s Ferry to join The Jets in what has been a steady upwards ride from the stage to the studio. In just over a year of performing together\, the band has been booked to headline locals festivals such as Tall Trees (Media\, PA) and Waynestock (New River George\, WV) and recently broke the record for number of attendees at a free show while playing the outdoor stage at Virginia’s prominent B Chord Brewing. June has shared stages with artists including The Counting Crows and Valerie June. DESCRIPTION:Wild Roots Rising is an indie folk band based in the Southeast United States. It is led by songwriters\, vocalists\, and instrumentalists Julia Houghton and Olivia Moore.\n  Their music is described as a classical-folk fusion; unique  arrangements and complex harmonies\, combined with acoustic instruments and meaningful lyrics. They are known for sharing songs that create a beautiful\, uplifting aura for the listener.\n  WRR released their self-titled\, debut album in September of 2021 and have been performing at festivals\, music venues\, and bars throughout the southeast. They are very excited to share their music with the public.\n   Enviornmentalism and social justice activism are deeply important to Olivia and Julia\, and these themes present themselves in the music. They create a space on stage to share\, think\, and talk about current issues. Together they bring strong intentions to create a positive change in the world\, and to stay true to themselves in the work.\n​

DESCRIPTION:Be a hero for kids with cancer and join us at the Stone for our annual head-shaving event! Whether you decide to shave your head\, volunteer\, or donate\, we hope you’ll be a part of the excitement. Proceeds from the event will go to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s childhood cancer research. \nLocal teams and individuals\, including teams from many local breweries and all your favorite restaurants\, will compete to collect donations before taking their turn in the barber’s chair. DC Brau’s Brandon Skall will MC again this year and Barber of Hell’s Bottom will be shaving heads. This special day is not to be missed – we’ll have drink specials and raffles going to help raise funds. Thanks to past St. Baldrick’s Day fundraising efforts\, we’ve raised $591\,070 and counting since 2014. This year’s goal? To raise $100k. \nWe’ll have a Charity Beer Garden on the patio (where 100% of sales go to St. Baldrick’s) and raffles going to help raise funds.
