In his solo career, Takoma Park singer-songwriter Bill Crandall (ex-Dot Dash, Adam West, Modest Proposal) has developed an atmospheric, melodic mix of indie, folk, psychedelia, pop, and rock. While his 2016 debut studio album was a sonically dense, adventurous, humanistic vision of the fallacy of our Mars ambitions – and a thinly-disguised call to protect our only habitat – his more recent stripped-down, intimate acoustic work aims for a kind of ‘future folk’ that defies easy genre categories.
